Puslinch Lake /Puslinch Lake Home Tour

A piece of paradise to live or play, is on Puslinch Lake, the largest kettle lake in North America, and home to less than 300 homes. I love meeting clients at the Old Marina Restaurant which  has been rated one of the top ten restaurants in Cambridge, with undoubtedly the best lake view in the surrounding areas. McClintocks Ski School offers ski camps/lessons as well as paddleboard and kayak rentals to get out and enjoy the lake. Every June the lake hosts a home tour to raise funds for dredging of the lake, allowing you a chance to see the lake and some of the beautiful homes skirting this unique community.

Farmers Market

I love spending a Saturday morning headed to the market with Chewy (Although it does usually end up in a wee bit of a hot mess as he INSISTS on saying “Hello!” to everyone!) . We always buy him a special treat and enjoy chatting it up with the local farmers and artisans. The market is open on Saturdays from 7:00 am-1:00 pm. We love to grab our coffees and make the market our foundation of healthy meal planning for the week. In the summer months it also opens on Wednesdays, adding  a great “before work” stop to grab a treat and coffee.

Dog Walking Trails

How lucky are we to have such beautiful dog walking trails weaving throughout our city, making us feel we are escaping to nature and the beauty of historic buildings and the Grand River? Chewy is obsessed with going for a nice long walk anywhere, but our absolute favorites are the Shades Mill Conservation area and Sudden Tract at 1841 Spragues Road. You do need a pass or pay to go for Shades Mill but all year round it is a great escape right within the city.
